The Field Service Technician assists with the installation and technical support of CNC equipment (primarily CNC Mills) across the Southeast. Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of machine tools, exhibit strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, team player mentality, and enjoy traveling. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer focus are also critical. The requirements for this position that is in our Service Department are as follows:
EDUCATION :
AAS in Electronic Technology, Machine Tool Technology, or degree/certification in related field preferred. Alternate levels of education/ experience will be considered.
EXPERIENCE :
2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repair required. Alternate levels of education/ experience will be considered.
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE :
Knowledge of machine design and operation, mechanical/electrical repair practices.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on machine and machine controls, PLC, etc.
Ability to read parts manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides.
Familiarity with the basic operation and functions of a machine tool.
BASE LOCATION : Knoxville, TN area. Expected to travel outside of region as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Offer diagnostic support for products Hardinge supports by performing customer service visits as required on both warranty and non-warranty products. Identify and resolve customer problems and issues through remote means as well, via video conference, email etc.
Installation, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on our Milling product line .
Demonstrate and instruct techniques, methods, and procedures for machine tool equipment and related attachments and accessories.
Handle, communicate, and coordinate with customers upgrades to machines & equipment; coordinate engineering requirements such as special options or updates where service is required.
Communicate and coordinate service activities with customers until all quality issues are resolved.
Support other field service staff by freely sharing knowledge and information and coordinate activities with departments as needed.
Company provides a vehicle and computer. Good financial credit required.

The Global IT Senior Manager, eCommerce will guide our customer facing organizational initiatives, specializing in website and eCommerce Infrastructure, and business/customer user enablement. OVERVIEW :
The National Sales Manager, Americas is responsible for executing and managing Hardinge’s sales programs as it relates to our SUPER-PRECISION, Grinding and Workholding product lines. This leadership position will report directly to the America’s President with high visibility to the broader executive team. The eCommerce Business System Analyst works with Information Technology, Marketing, and Sales teams to identify areas for continuous improvement for our eCommerce site. This position identifies and presents opportunities to optimize the effectiveness of our SAP Commerce Cloud site and well as proactively escalating technology risks. This role provides technical problem solving to resolve issues from the front end of the site through the backend of the ERP.
